Recently, we were called out to look at a boiler after the homeowner had already been told it would cost £1600 to repair. Naturally, they were concerned and decided to seek another professional opinion before committing to such a large expense.

The Real Problem

The issue wasn’t the boiler at all.

Instead, the problem was caused by blocked drains.

Because of this, we advised the homeowner to have their drainage checked first before carrying out any unnecessary work on the boiler.

A Much Simpler Fix

The customer followed that advice and arranged for the drainage to be sorted through their insurance provider.

The result?

The total cost to the homeowner was just a £30 excess on their plumbing and drainage insurance.

Their boiler is now working perfectly again.
